The 2013 NBA draft unfolded on June 27 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Thirty National Basketball Association (NBA) teams made their selections, with the Cleveland Cavaliers holding the first overall pick.
The Cavaliers selected Anthony Bennett, a 6'8" forward from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Bennett averaged 16.1 points and 8.1 rebounds per game in his lone season with the Runnin' Rebels, leading them to an NCAA Tournament berth.
The Orlando Magic followed by drafting Victor Oladipo, a 6'4" shooting guard from Indiana University. Oladipo played a key role in leading the Hoosiers to the Sweet 16, averaging 17.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.1 steals per game.
